With AudioNoise you can take advantage of the so-called masking effect: by presenting a low level broadband noise to the ear it is possible to effectively block other (possibly disturbing) sounds. The point is that a broaband noise is much less disturbing than, say, a high pitched tone, because the brain doesn't interpret it as important information.
You may want to check out more software, such as Cucusoft DVD to PSP + PSP Video Converter Suite, Dvd95Copy or EasyDVDCopy, which might be similar to AudioNoise.
