I bought AS 20 years ago, never learned it as I was diverted by other things. Now I need it and NO, do not wish to buy more complex, costly AutoCAD. Does anyone have a tutorial to learn AS from the very beginning? If there is anyone out there who would consider tutoring an old, stubborn guy, I am open to offers / suggestions. I have the original CD and user manual but it's daunting and I feel alone ... tired of people telling me to get AutoCAD or switch to Sketchup. I want to use what I already purchased and from what I read from AS users, is rill a very excellent product for 2D, all I need.
Thanks, it's a big world, hoping someone will reply

Have used Autosketch for as long as it has been available (originally a free version from a magazine disc, currently have a paid for V.10). I keep a Windows computer just so I can have Autosketch (my main computers are Linux). Does everything I need from house plans to woodwork project drawings. I'm sure there are others, but I don't need the hassle of learning new software two years before I retire.
The ditching of AutoSketch is a great shame. If set up in a suitable way it is a wonderful and simple means to produce drawings of quite complex panels which are very data rich. This data can be fed directly to xl. Extraction of data from AutoCAD is very painful by comparison.
I had it on my XP pro but my son botched it by installing a Linux OS. I miss it.
I have used AutoSketch for years. Nearly all of my sketching needs are completed with AutoSketch. I rarely require 3D modeling. Rated 4 because couldn't rate 4.9.
