BlueJ
BlueJ is an excellent tool for learning and teaching the Java language. The interactive tutorials and built-in editor make it easy to follow along and write code. The virtual machine and debugger make it easy to test and debug code. The ability to save outputs as JAR files is also a great feature. Overall, BlueJ is a great tool for anyone wanting to learn Java.
Downloading BlueJ 5.1 from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The most popular versions among the software users are 4.2, 4.1 and 3.1.
