The Burlington Speech Trainer (BST) uses a database based on tens of thousands of recordings of Spanish teenagers, which allows it to recognise and correct the typical errors of this type of speaker while ignoring other non-typical mistakes. Using its Spanish database, the BST listens and identifies the exact sound the student has difficulties with. The Train me button takes the student into a personalised pronunciation course.
