Description
ClipName is a great tool for quickly and easily managing clipboard data. It allows you to quickly copy and paste the name, path, DOS name, URL encoded name, and UNC name of a file or folder, as well as view the information with options to export the content to a document, a database, or an online form, create shortcuts, etc. The interface is intuitive and easy to use, and the ability to quickly copy and paste data is invaluable. Highly recommended!
There was a download of ClipName 2.0 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. This free tool was originally developed by PLJ Soft.
ClipName can be installed on 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows 2000/XP/7/8/10/11. The program's installer file is generally known as Ashampoo ClipFinder.exe. The program lies within System Utilities, more precisely System Optimization. We cannot guarantee that the program is safe to download as it will be downloaded from the developer's website. Before launching the program, check it with any free antivirus software. The most popular versions of the ClipName are 2.0, 1.3 and 1.2.
From the developer:
ClipName is Context Menu extension copying the full pathname of the right-clicked file to the clipboard. It's supports copy of multiple filenames either as a space separated list or as a TAB and as a CRLF separated list. DOS filenames (8.3) can now also be copied as well as the URL encoded name and the UNC name for remote files.
You may want to check out more software, such as RegAlyzer, ZSoft Uninstaller or Advanced Disk Cleaner, which might be related to ClipName.
