Cone Layout
Create, edit, and visualize 3D models that include cone components or conic sections like cylinders. Rotate your models to view them from different angles and perform the analysis of their flatten projections. Select the page size and orientation and specify the margin coordinates, the diameter for the ends of the cone, and many other parameters.
Download of Cone Layout 2.0.5 was on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. Commonly, this program's installer has the following filename: Cone.exe.

Cone Layout is a useful program that will unfold a frustum of a cone and generate a sheet cutting layout or flat pattern projection that can be rolled or bend up into a truncated cone shape. Either side of the truncated cone can be tilted. To help you visualise the cone you are editing, a rotating 3D model shows the dimensions.

When I export a .dxf and open it in inkscape, I can't get anything but a blank screen.
