Description
There was a download of Disk Index 1.5.0.20 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. Dindex.exe, DiskIndex.exe or _EFD28963E4D6_439D_9B75_4B.exe are the default file names to indicate the Disk Index installer.
Disk Index lies within Home & Hobby Tools, more precisely Bookkeeping-Cataloging. According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. This free software was originally designed by Suncross. You can set up Disk Index on Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 32-bit. The most popular versions among the program users are 1.5 and 1.4.
From the developer:
This is a straight forward tool for showing disk information and generating a disk index. Disk Index will scan any disk (CD-ROM, HDD, network disk) for files and folders and write the list and a disk summary to a regular text file so that it can be viewed with any text file editor or viewer. This version of Disk Index runs on Windows NT4, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista and Windows 7.
You may want to check out more software, such as Experiance index editor, AusLogics Disk Defrag or Disk Doctors FAT Data Recovery, which might be related to Disk Index.
