From the developer:
A turn based, multiplayer, play by e-mail war game. As large a group as you like can play at any pace the group decides on. (e.g. from one turn a week to several turns a day.) All players make their moves for each turn simultaneously, and each turn typically takes only a few minutes to play. One player who volunteers to host the game e-mails or otherwise sends the current game file to all the other players.
You may want to check out more software, such as Anthelion 2, Curator Defense or Spectromancer, which might be related to e-war.
