Description
Generate semi-transparent and isosurface 3D displays of high quality and get fast access to 2D solutions from the Level II volume reflectivity, including Echo Tops, VIL, VILD, POSH, and MEHS. Get informed of changing weather events, create local storm reports, etc.
GR2Analyst 2.80 could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The software belongs to Home & Hobby Tools.
The following versions: 2.8, 2.5 and 2.2 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. GR2Analyst works fine with 32-bit versions of Windows XP/7/8/10/11.

GR2Analyst Version 2 is an advanced Nexrad Level II analysis application. It derives five 2D products from the Level II volume reflectivity: Echo Tops, VIL, VILD, POSH, and MEHS. All are displayed on a high resolution radial grid (1km x 1° x 230km with 256 data levels). In Live mode, each derived product updates as new tilts are received, keeping you informed even in rapidly changing severe weather events.
