The 2.0 version of Global Environmental Flow Calculator is available as a free download on our website. Global Environmental Flow Calculator is included in Education Tools. The following version: 1.0 was the most frequently downloaded one by the program users. ENV_Flow_Calculator.exe is the common file name to indicate the Global Environmental Flow Calculator installer. This free software was originally designed by IWMI.

The Global Environmental Flow Calculator (GEFC) is a software package for desktop rapid assessment of Environmental Flows (EFs). The EF estimation technique in GEFC is using monthly time step series reflecting “natural” / unregulated flow conditions and its corresponding Flow Duration Curve (FDC)- a cumulative distribution function of flows. The FDC is represented by 17 percentage points on the probability (X) axis.
