Hanyu
Downloading Hanyu 1.5 from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The most popular version among the software users is 1.5. The program's installer files are generally known as Hanyi.exe or hanyu.exe etc. This free program is an intellectual property of bpe. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus. The software is categorized as Education Tools.

Hanyu is an easy program to practice Chinese hanzi characters, and pinyin. There are many such programs, but Hanyu has the following advantages :
The hanzi set matches the course at the CLT in Leuven (as of 2004-2005). If that's not where you study, the program can still be useful because the hanzi roughly follow the progress in the New Practical Chinese Reader 1 textbook;
You may want to check out more software, such as Rincevent or Presidential Profiles, which might be related to Hanyu.
