PCMagazine SurfSpeed can be downloaded from our website for free. Our built-in antivirus checked this download and rated it as virus free. The PCMagazine SurfSpeed installer is commonly called SurfSpeed.exe. The program lies within Internet & Network Tools, more precisely General. The following versions: 2.3, 2.2 and 2.1 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. The actual developer of the free program is Ziff Davis Publishing Inc.

From the developer:

It's a real-world surfing speedometer that runs on Windows XP or Vista. Unlike some other speed tests, it makes multiple, parallel connections to Web sites. It doesn't download just a single file, but the whole Web page, graphics and all. Performing simultaneous connections fills your Internet tube with data quickly, providing a more accurate method of checking the speed of connections like cable and DSL (and comparing them with other ISPs or other types of service). SurfSpeed uses popular sites for the standard test suite, but you can specify your favorite site for a personal test as well.

You may want to check out more software, such as PC Magazine Defrag-A-File, PC Magazine NoteWhen or PC Magazine InstaBack, which might be similar to PCMagazine SurfSpeed.
