Description

Download of SDRadio 1.0 was on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. SDRadio lies within System Utilities, more precisely Device Assistants.

The following versions: 1.0 and 0.9 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. The program's installer file is generally known as SDRadio.exe.

SDRadio is only a subset of the above definition, dealing only with the receiver part, and the ADC is not exactly wideband, but it is what is offered by the majority of today's sound cards, i.e. either 48 or 96 kHz. Nevertheless it can be considered as a first step in that direction.
A software radio is a radio whose channel modulation waveforms are defined in software.
