SMOD Standalone
There was a download of SMOD Standalone 0.56 on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The latest version of the software can be downloaded for PCs running Windows XP/7/8/10/11, 32-bit.
This free program is an intellectual property of SMOD: Tactical Developer's Group. We cannot guarantee that the program is safe to download as it will be downloaded from the developer's website. Before launching the program, check it with any free antivirus software. The following version: 0.5 is the most frequently downloaded one by the program users. The software belongs to Games. SMOD Stanalone.exe is the default file name to indicate this program's installer.

SMOD Standalone is an "updated" version of SMOD client that takes advantages of some Orangebox engine features like LAA flag; it also fixes LUA and introduces a new file structure allowing for smaller 3-rd party SMOD mods.
If you're into SMOD we recommend you to try it out, because this "update" is not made mainly for SMOD devs, but also users that love SMOD but are unable to play it due to Steam and Half-Life 2 updates.
