Description

STARES 4.3 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available.

According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. The software lies within Education Tools, more precisely Science Tools. The STARES installer is commonly called STARES.exe. The most popular version of the program 4.3. The actual developer of the software is University of Sydney.

From the developer:

STARES (STability Analysis of REinforced Soil) for Windows is a computer program which enables the user to compute the stability of an earth mass stabilised by reinforcement using an analysis based on Bishop's (1955) simplified method for unreinforced slopes. In these analyses the stabilisation provided by the reinforcement is assumed to be entirely due to the axial force generated along the reinforcement.

You may want to check out more software, such as Falling Autumn Leaves Screen Saver, FW Timer or Jables's Adventure, which might be similar to STARES.
