Description
SmallTune 0.3.1, developed by Daniel Gilbert, is an incredibly versatile program designed for easy and efficient music management. Falling under the Multimedia category and specifically in the Players subcategory, SmallTune’s latest rendition, smalltune.exe, offers numerous features for an enhanced user experience.
The main objectives of SmallTune include providing a small interface, supporting a single playlist, ensuring ease of use, and enabling automatic hiding when not in use. Additionally, this program stands out for its speed, and its ability to play Internet streams directly.
Adding files and folders is straightforward. Users can right-click on the notification icon and select "Add file(s)..." or "Add folder(s)..." to import their music. These files are then added to the database (DB). The playlist is easily accessible by clicking on "Playlist..." or the magnifier in the application window, allowing users to choose and play songs effortlessly. Deleting songs from the playlist is simple—just select the entry and hit the Delete Key.
As for compatibility, SmallTune can be used in various settings:
- On a USB stick: Choose “Yes.”
- In a writable folder where you are the sole user: Choose “Yes.”
- In a writable folder shared with others: Choose “No.”
- In a read-only folder: Choose “No.”
To play internet radio, users need to go to the Menu, select “INet-Radio,” choose a category, and pick their preferred station.
Until now, SmallTune has had multiple versions, including 0.3 and the latest 0.3.1, each iteration refining user experience and interface. Given the meticulous design and functionality, SmallTune is a compelling choice for those in need of a compact and efficient audio player.
