Stronghold2 1.4 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available.

The game is divided into two parts: the path of war, and the path of peace. Each follows its own story and concentrates on either action or amassing resources. If you choose the path of war you will be able to select a campaign or Kingmaker mode, while the path of peace will offer you a free-build mode or a full-on economic campaign. The economic side of the game was not implemented yet, so we decided to get a piece of the action instead.
