Description
SuperCopier has recently released its latest version, 4.0.1.13, developed by SFX TEAM. This system utility application, specifically categorized under file managers, offers an efficient way to manage file transfers on your PC. Users can download it for free, ensuring an accessible and cost-effective solution.
The program supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows 2000, XP, XP Professional, Vista, 7, 8, 10, and 11. This enhances its versatility and ensures compatibility with various Windows versions. As older systems like Windows 95, 98, and Millennium are no longer supported, the focus remains on more current and widely-used OS versions.
With a file size of just 496 KB, SuperCopier is a lightweight application that won't consume significant system resources. The program file names include SuperCopier2.exe, SuperCopier.exe, supercopier2 .exe, SuperCopier22.exe, and SuperCopier3.exe, making it easy to identify during installation and use.
The latest version boasts a complete rewrite of the copy interception system, enhancing support for newer Windows versions like Vista and higher, including all 64-bit versions. Users now have added options to sort the copy list by either clicking on the column headers or using the 'Sort' context menu item, improving usability and efficiency in managing file transfers.
Several aliases exist for this application, such as SuperCopier2 and SuperCopier Beta, often used in earlier versions like 4.0, 2.3, and 2.2. This variety in naming ensures that users familiar with older versions will still recognize the software.
Pros:
- Lightweight: With a minimal file size of 496 KB, it does not burden system resources.
- Enhanced Compatibility: The latest rewrite supports a broad spectrum of Windows OS versions, including the most recent ones.
- Free Download: Users can avail the functionality of a premium file manager without any cost.
Cons:
- Dropped Support for Older OS: Compatibility with outdated Windows versions such as 95, 98, and Millennium has been removed, potentially affecting users still operating on these systems.
- Deactivated Handled Processes: Certain processes have been deactivated, which might limit functionality for some advanced users.
You may want to check out more software, such as Super Copy or SuperCopy, which might be similar to SuperCopier.

There is an issue with the speed and for the long pathname support, any alternatives? Any recommendations please?

RobertMike, GS Richcopy 360 is the best software that I have used till now. It's a great example of how software can be simple to use and yet very powerful! Some of its features include long path name support which is really important when copying large files, 100% multi-threaded file transfer (as the company claims, you can witness the boost in transfer speed yourself), pre-scheduled file transfer, email notification when the transfer is done, NTFS support, and many more exciting features. I am currently using the enterprise version of it. It is the best software out there. Try it, hope it helps!
