Tkabber is an open source client for the Jabber instant messaging system. It's writen in Tcl/Tk, and works on many platforms including Windows. You should already have installed tcllib and BWidget script libraries before installing this program - no compiling is necessary.
You may want to check out more software, such as Active Worlds, Paltalk Messenger Interop or Roger Wilco, which might be similar to Tkabber.
