TxEdit
TxEdit 5.5 could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The actual developer of the program is Gregory Braun -- Software Design.
The following version: 5.5 is the most frequently downloaded one by the program users. TxEdit.exe is the default file name to indicate the TxEdit installer. According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. The program is included in Office Tools.

TxEdit 2000 is an easy to use ASCII text editor that makes a nice replacement for the standard MS Windows Notepad.
Multiple documents can be edited using this MDI editor.
TxEdit includes options to quickly find and replace text.
TxEdit also supports a drag and drop interface to easily open text files directly from the desktop.
Large text files of up to 20 megabytes each can be edited and printed using this editor.
You may want to check out more software, such as PDF Transformer, eXcelatorCTR or Beam 2D, which might be similar to TxEdit.
