Description
W6NEK HF Beacon Tracker is an exceptional software tool designed for enthusiasts in the Amateur Radio community. The latest version, 4.0, offers an innovative way to continuously identify which NCDXF/IARU DX beacon station is broadcasting on any of the five HF Amateur Radio bands (20, 17, 15, 12, and 10 meter). The program provides a practical feature where the current beacon call sign is updated and displayed with a flashing Status LED on a world relief map. As each beacon station becomes active, its country, city, latitude, and longitude are dynamically updated and displayed.
This software by W6NEK, enhances the users' ability to determine real-time, worldwide, DX band conditions from their location. Remarkably, it helps users understand if a band is open to different parts of the world irrespective of the amateur station (band) activity, uncovering band openings that might otherwise be missed.
The program falls under the Multimedia category, with a subcategory of Players. The program file names, HFBeaconTracker.exe, align well with its functions, providing seamless operation. It is incredibly compatible, supporting a wide range of operating systems including Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10, and 11. There are no other versions of this software, as 4.0 is its only version available.
One of the most attractive features of this tool is that it offers a free download for enthusiasts to use without any cost, enhancing accessibility. Users looking to optimize their amateur radio experience will find this tool immensely beneficial.

Unfortunately Frank, W6NEK is a silent key. I don't know if the helpful program is maintained and available from other sources.
