The WDM Phasar software package provides a powerful tool for the design and modeling of optical (de)multiplexers and routers based on AWGs. WDM Phasar uses numerical solvers like the Beam Propagation Method (BPM), the Effective Index Method (EIM) and the S-Matrix Method (SMM) to analyze and optimize device performance in terms of crosstalk level, insertion loss, channel spacing and bandwidth, nonuniformity and more.
