WildEdit 2.0 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The software lies within System Utilities, more precisely File Managers.
The latest version of WildEdit is supported on PCs running Windows XP/XP Professional/Vista/7/8/10/11, 32-bit. The program's installer is commonly called WildEdit.exe.

WildEdit is an interactive tool for power users to edit a set of plain text files in a folder hierarchy, filtered by wildcards. This makes it ideal for editing web pages and software source code, or reformatting log files and newsletters. It is not suitable for editing files with proprietary binary formats, such Microsoft Word documents.
