abylon FREEHASH 1.5 was free to download from our software library. The default filenames for the program's installer are HashChecker.EXE, HashCheckerX64.EXE or HASHFILE.EXE etc. Abylon FREEHASH lies within System Utilities, more precisely File Managers. This free tool was originally developed by abylonsoft. The following versions: 1.5 and 1.3 were the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users. This download was scanned by our built-in antivirus and was rated as safe.

The hash function determined a fixed length checksum from a file of any size. This cross-or checksum is similar to a fingerprint for each file and almost clear.

This allows files to compare, without checking the contents of the file itself.
