I recently tried out Cogniview PDF2XL OCR and I'm really impressed with the results. It's incredibly easy to use and it processes tables from PDF documents incredibly quickly. The OCR error-correction tools work great and it's easy to maintain the original layout of the tables. I also love that it can extract data from scanned images and copy it into MS Office, Excel, OpenOffice, and CSV tables in batch mode. Highly recommend this software!
