Color Style Studio – is a color design application intended for both professional and amateur users. You will definitely need this program if you are going to redesign your interior or an outer part of your house and would like to preview all the color changes made.
From the first sight the program seems to be quite easy-to-use: you upload the pictures, offered by the program itself and listed by categories: interiors, log houses, stone houses etc., and then customize the colors of the objects you would like to repaint by clicking on their surface, having chosen a desired color in advance. There is a useful option, to my mind, - a slide show - with the help of which you have a possibility to watch a presentation where the colors of all the objects – furniture, for example, change at random. If you find something that suits you, you can save certain matches and then compare selections to choose the best one. Moreover, the program even offers to print pictures with your redesigned house. The trial version of the program is fully functional with the only difference that in a registered one there are more color shades available and some other additional features, like decorator books etc.
This seems quite simple, but I faced some problems when it came to upload the pictures of my own. After uploading my picture, I saw the interface with lots of small buttons with some unidentified signs on them. Although the software offers a very detailed guide to the program and even a video tutorial, I found it annoying to read what each of the plenty buttons means and for what purpose it serves.
After reading the tutorial I faced another difficulty: in order to repaint a certain object in the picture, you need to create a field first: to define an object you would like to repaint with the help of paint tools. It happened to be not an easy task, as you can’t outline the object sharply if it is not a geometrical figure for example, like curtains - you have to use the brush and try to be precise no to leave blank areas.
So after creating the necessary fields you can start matching different colors and choosing the design according to your preferences.
There are also other tools that are similar to those in Paint.net and to those present in every photo editor.
On the whole, the program is quite suitable for designers and those who just want to redecorate their interior or façade or everything, and it has all the functions to perform such a task and even more. Although the program takes some time to get a grasp of.
