GigaPan Desktop is a great tool that enables you to check out those super-high-resolution images from GigaPan website in fullscreen. The application is using Adobe AIR and the OpenZoom SDK so you can see GigaPan images in fullscreen mode.
You can choose gigapans from a list of the most recent ones or simply by typing in the ID number of the gigapan.
