From the developer:
Onefog Xonix is original realization of a well-known arcade QIX.
It is played in a 2-dimensional arena, in which Enemy-balls bounce around. The Player controls a ball, which may move both around of sides of this arena and inside it, leaving a trace behind.
When the Player's ball reaches edge of arena, area inside a rectangular, which does not contain Enemy-balls, is filled in.
You may want to check out more software, such as MachineHell, Battleracer or RoverXPL, which might be similar to Onefog Xonix.
