The primary purpose of SmartGate is to transmit voice between GSM network and attached phone terminals. You can connect terminal with FXO interface (trunk line of PBX, phone set, answering machine etc.) to FXS interface on SmartGate(connector with phone icon) and terminal with FXS interface (extension line of PBX) to FXO interface on SmartGate (connector with crossed out phone icon).
