Wire Pilot Plugin is a one-trick plugin designed to remove wires, antennas and other thin linear objects from your outdoor pictures. To use the plugin, you must have a host program (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, XnView, Jasc Paint Shop Pro, Corel PHOTO-PAINT or Macromedia Fireworks) installed on your computer.
The plugin interface includes three basic instruments: the drag tool, the eraser tool and the undo brush letting you restore any part of an image to its initial state. Unfortunately, you cannot erase wires simply by clicking and dragging the cursor. Instead, you need to make many successive clicks to erase each section of a wire or antenna. In fact, if you already have Adobe Photoshop, you will be able to remove wires with the Clone Stamp tool.
Unfortunately, the plugin does not work well on all backgrounds. While it produces good results on clear skies and other smooth backgrounds, a more detailed background can become too blurry.
However, since Wire Pilot Plugin is totally free, we can recommend it to amateur photographers who need a retouching program with this particular functionality.
