Downloading X-Chat 2.8.9 from our website was free. Xchat.exe is the default file name to indicate the X-Chat installer. This free software is a product of Peter Zelezny. XChat is an IRC chat program for both Linux and Windows. It allows you to join multiple IRC channels (chat rooms) at the same time, talk publicly, private one-on-one conversations etc. Even file transfers are also possible.
OpenSSL libraries can be included for encrypted chat support.
You may want to check out more software, such as Floe IRC or HexChat, which might be similar to X-Chat.
