miniBit 1.2.0 was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this software available. The following versions: 1.2, 1.1 and 1.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.
According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. The software lies within Multimedia Tools, more precisely Music Production. This tool was originally created by AudioThing.
From the developer:
miniBit is a 8-bit/chiptune style synthesizer that emulates the sound of 80s game consoles and retrocomputers. It features a main oscillator with 15 waveforms paired with a sub oscillator (a square wave pitched one octave below). The waveforms are not bandlimited and will produce aliasing. Furthermore, using the built-in bitcrusher, you can create even more noisy and retro sounds.
You may want to check out more software, such as Jupiter-8V, Psycle or OtsDJ, which might be similar to miniBit.
