The actual developer of the free program is Alexis Ellis,Mike Binkley,David J. Nowak. The default filename for the program's installer is iTreeVue.exe. The program is included in Home & Hobby Tools. The following versions: 4.0 and 3.0 are the most frequently downloaded ones by the program users.

i-Tree Vue allows you to make use of freely available National Land Cover Data (NLCD) maps to assess your community's land cover, including tree canopy, and some of the ecosystem services provided by your current urban forest. The effects of planting scenarios on future benefits can also be modeled. New enhancements allow users to make regional adjustments to canopy and impervious estimates based on recent research.
