Our software library provides a free download of OpenJPEG 2.3.0 for Mac. Our built-in antivirus checked this Mac download and rated it as virus free. This free Mac application is a product of Université de Louvain. The most recent installer that can be downloaded is 1.6 MB in size. The software is included in Design & Photo Tools.

OpenJPEG is an open-source JPEG 2000 codec written in C language. It has been developed in order to promote the use of JPEG 2000, a still-image compression standard from the Joint Photographic Experts Group (JPEG). The library has been created and is still maintained by the Image and Signal Processing Group.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as Cuadro or Resize Now, which might be similar to OpenJPEG.
