How to type with 10 fingers
Our daily routines increasingly depend on computers and the web. We search for food recipes, order new furniture pieces from online stores, complete work-related tasks, and so on. So, without doubt, we use our Mac's keyboards a lot. Sadly, not many of us master the skills of typing fast on Macs.
In a previous guide, I showed you how to how to test and improve your typing skills on a Windows PC. In this article, I will talk about some of the things you can do in order to type with 10 fingers and master your typing skills on a Mac computer.
Having the correct finger placement
Many people are still using only 2 out of their 10 fingers to type on a keyboard. This method not only takes a lot to finish, but it might also become quite annoying, especially if it's important to enter the necessary text content as quick as possible. As you can see in the following image, your index fingers should be placed over the F and J keys. The rest of the fingers should fall into place naturally.
As you can see in the picture, the index fingers would be used for covering the center area of your keyboard, while the middle and ring fingers would be used for pressing a smaller amount of keys. Last but not least, your little fingers would be used for pressing function keys (Caps Lock, Ctrl, etc.) or punctuation keys.
Typing on your keyboard with 10 fingers would definitely help you boost up your productivity and complete your daily tasks a lot faster.
