Ashed will place any image you like on your dashboard. This is a gallery style widget that you click to scroll through any number of pictures. To view your own single shot, just drag your file onto the widget. To adjust the slideshow, you can set the slide timing on the backside of the widget. Ashed comes with a set of fifty-odd photographs already installed. They have been re-photoshoped and brightened just for this widget.
