CyberPass
Description
A convenient application for your Mac that automatically unlocks it when waking from sleep. Simply use your phone as the wireless key, eliminating the need to enter a password. Your password is securely sent via encrypted channel between devices, ensuring maximum safety. Pairing with your Apple ID ensures only your phone can unlock your Mac.
The 1.6.1 version of CyberPass for Mac was available to download on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. This free Mac app is an intellectual property of Tamas Istvan. The program lies within Security Tools, more precisely Personal Security. We recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus.
From the developer:
CyberPass is an application that unlocks your Mac automatically, immediately after awaking from sleep. You do not need to configure anything. It just works in the background. Your phone will be the wireless key to your Mac. The password is not stored on your Mac, not even temporarily. The paired phone sends it out every time via an encrypted channel, which occurs only between devices, so that the same Apple ID is assigned.
