Description
Downloading JEDict 5.0.4 for Mac from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. JEDict47.dmg or jedict471.dmg are the common file names to indicate this program's installer.
The bundle identifier for JEDict for Mac is com.jedictx. JEDict for Mac lies within Education Tools, more precisely Languages. JEDict 4 is multilingual dictionary capable to search any plain text files including:
- EDICT dictionaries - all Japanese-English dictionaries from Monash University FTP Archive.
- Wadoku JT - Japanisch-Deutsches elektronisches Wörterbuch.
- BEDIC dictionaries - *.DIC and *.DZ dictionaries from BEDIC project.
- XDXF files.
- EIJIRO files (these dictionaries are not free).
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as Just Translate, Infovox iVox or SpeakToMe, which might be similar to JEDict.
