OLW
Description
Select which app you want to use to open a particular link. The app has the option to remember your choice for future use, making it easy to quickly access your preferred app. Additionally, the Selector tool highlights the main domain name of the URL to help you avoid potential phishing sites.
OLW 3.0.9 for Mac could be downloaded from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. The actual developer of this free Mac application is Tiny Apps. The program lies within Communication Tools, more precisely E-mail. According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software.
From the developer:
OLW comes from Open Link With. The utility lets you choose your app to open a link. You can ask OLW to remember your choice and go directly to your preferred app the next time. OLW Selector will automatically highlight the URL main Domain name so you can avoid phishing sites.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as Hogwasher, Portable Thunderbird or Serial Mail, which might be similar to OLW.
