The 3.4 version of PhotoRescue for Mac was available to download on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. The most popular versions of the program are 3.4, 3.3 and 3.2.
PhotoRescue for Mac lies within System Tools, more precisely Backup & Restore. The latest version of the application is supported on Mac OS X 10.3.0 or later. The application is sometimes distributed under different names, such as "Photorescue Wizard", "PhotoRescue1", "PhotoRescue copy". The program's installation files are generally known as photorescue3.dmg or photorescue3.zip etc. This Mac application is an intellectual property of Datarescue. This application's bundle is identified as com.DataRescue.PhotoRescue.

PhotoRescue will undelete, unerase and recover pictures, images, photos and files lost on corrupted, erased or damaged compact flash (CF) cards, SD Cards, Memory Sticks, SmartMedia and XD cards even when other solutions fail.
PhotoRescue supports the recovery of all file types but its algorithms are particularly optimized for JPG/JPEG files, TIFF files, GIFs and BMPs.
