Download of Pitchmap 1.7.5 for Mac was on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. Pitchmap can be installed on Mac OS X 10.5 or later. This Mac app was originally developed by Zynaptiq.
The application is included in Audio & Video Tools. The software is sometimes distributed under different names, such as "PitchmapAuthorizer". The application's installation file is generally known as pitchmap-mac-150-demo.zip.
The most popular versions among Pitchmap for Mac users are 1.7 and 1.5. According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software.
From the developer:
Pitchmap allows processing the pitch of individual sounds within mixed signals in real-time. It lets you change the melodies and harmonies of any recording by simply playing your own on a MIDI keyboard or creating a pitch map using the stream-lined GUI, and optionally corrects any tuning issues at the same time.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as SoundByte, Lounge Lizard Session or TimewARP 2600, which might be similar to Pitchmap.
