From the developer:

QMovies is a simple batch movie conversion application designed to work with only QuickTime movies (MOV). QMovies comes in two parts. The selfMovies module lets you batch convert reference movies into self-contained QuickTime videos. refMovies goes the other way around. You can use refMovies to batch-convert self-contained QuickTime videos into reference movies.

You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as VCode, MFilter or Aiseesoft WMV Converter for Mac, which might be similar to QMovies.
