Description
A menu bar app for iTunes that allows you to easily rate the currently playing song with a single click. It provides quick access to the song's rating, notifies you to rate unrated songs, and offers play/pause controls. You can view album cover art while rating and use keyboard shortcuts to change ratings. Stars efficiently displays album and half-star ratings, taking up space in the menu bar only when iTunes is playing.
The 5.1.2 version of Stars for Mac was available to download on the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available.
Please check the Mac app with an antivirus before launch as it is downloaded from the developer's website, and we cannot ensure that it is safe. The software lies within Audio & Video Tools, more precisely Players. This Mac application was originally created by Karelia Software.
From the developer:
Rate the currently playing song in iTunes from your menu bar with a single click of the mouse. After enough songs are rated, you can use the data to create smart playlists that contains your most favorite music in iTunes.
Features:
• You can see the current song's rating with a quick glance at the menu bar.
• Stars notifies you to rate a song if it's unrated when you're 3/4th of the way through the song.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as Star Watermark Ultimate, Star VPN or Star Watermark, which might be similar to Stars.
