WhatsOn
Description
A convenient tool that displays the currently playing song on iTunes in your status bar, ensuring you never miss a beat. Instead of relying on notifications, the app keeps the song name visible at all times. You can even click on the song name to access additional details such as the album cover, more song information, and a direct link to the iTunes page.
WhatsOn 3.1.2 for Mac was available to download from the developer's website when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available.
According to the results of the Google Safe Browsing check, the developer's site is safe. Despite this, we recommend checking the downloaded files with any free antivirus software. The application is categorized as Audio & Video Tools. The actual developer of this free Mac application is J.E.Neumeier.
From the developer:
WhatsOn lets you see in the status bar what's now playing on iTunes. With this application, you no longer have to worry that you missed the iTunes notification when the song changed. WhatsOn leaves the song name in your status bar full time. In addition, you can click on the song name and view the album cover, more song details, and even a link to the iTunes song.
You may want to check out more Mac applications, such as iTunesMenu, yFlicks or MenuTunes, which might be similar to WhatsOn.
