Downloading APNG Disassembler 2.9 for Mac from the developer's website was possible when we last checked. We cannot confirm if there is a free download of this app available. The software is included in Design & Photo Tools. This free software for Mac OS X was originally designed by Max Stepin. Please check the Mac app with an antivirus before launch as it is downloaded from the developer's website, and we cannot ensure that it is safe.

APNG Disassembler deconstructs a PNG file into a sequence of PNG frames. Command line: apngdis anim.png [name]. Decoding is implemented by parsing all chunks in the PNG file, remixing them into a sequence of static PNG images. The command-line version is available for all major OSes, there is also a GUI version for Windows. The C++ source code is available under zlib license.
