antipop 1.0.2 for Mac was free to download from our software library. The program is included in System Tools. This free Mac app is a product of Robert Tomsick.

antipop is a LaunchAgent designed to prevent Mac OS X from turning off the sound system. antipop uses Mac OS X's 'say' binary to speak a single space every 10 seconds. While this will not produce any audible output, it will prevent Mac OS X from putting the sound system to sleep.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as Bulldog, Launch! or Mood Mouse, which might be similar to antipop.
