From the developer:
Dragging items using the trackpad is tricky.
Click and Drag turns your caps lock key into a left mouse button toggle.
This makes it easy to drag items using the trackpad.
You just click caps lock once and then you can move the mouse around without having to keep your finger pressed down on the trackpad.
You may want to check out more software for Mac, such as Cut with Drag & Drop, Drag-N-Scale or Drag Hash, which might be related to Click and Drag.
