You could have downloaded LANMessage 2.0.5.0 for Mac from our application library for free. LANMessage for Mac is included in Communication Tools. The actual developer of this free Mac application is Jack Beckman. The following version: 2.0 was the most frequently downloaded one by the program users. The program's installation file is generally known as lanmessage.zip.

LANMessage is a little program that will pop up a translucent window with a message in it across your LAN. I use it to display caller ID information on all my systems as it comes in from my answering machine (which is a software program running on a Mac). Right now, it's Mac only - I've had a real struggle trying to get it to work on Windows too.
