RewrapAVCHD lets you rewrap .mts, .m2ts and .m2t files to .m4v files. AVCHD files are not converted, there is no quality loss.
FastCut cannot handle ubiquitous AVCHD files directly. At first those files must be rewrapped. It is also necessary to install the QuickTime plug-in Perian.
