Description

A program in Processing that analyzes polyphonic audio files (WAV, MP3, etc.), detects pitch, and converts it to MIDI output. It allows you to adjust low and high frequencies, focus on specific octaves for recording, and assign each octave to a separate MIDI channel. Ideal for musicians looking to fine-tune their audio recordings with precise control over frequency levels.

The 0.6 version of Spectrotune for Mac is provided as a free download on our software library. The application lies within Audio & Video Tools, more precisely Editors & Converters. From the developer:

Spectrotune is a Processing application that scans a polyphonic audio source (in WAV, MP3, etc. formats), performs pitch detection, and outputs to MIDI. The program helps you attenuate low frequencies and amplify high frequencies. It can narrow the spectrum to the octaves you are interested in recording and route each octave to its own MIDI channel.
